of Lubbock, formerly of Joplin, Mo. departed this life on Wednesday,
December 29, 2010, at the age of 89. She was born April 13, 1921, in
Quitman, Texas to George W. and Lillie Lea (Brock) Harris. Climmie
graduated from Brownfield H.S. in 1937 and later married Raymond
Head. She worked for Daisy Manufacturing until she retired. Climmie
moved from Joplin, Mo. to Lubbock in March of 2010. She was a member
of Seventh Day Adventist Church. Climmie's memory will be cherished by her daughter, Norma Faye Mitchell and husband Clair of Joplin, Mo.; son, Noel Washburn and wife Shirley of Garfield, Ark.; brother, Gerald Harris of Lubbock; daughter-in-law, Judy Head of Joplin, Mo.; and sister-in-law, Dorothy Harris of Folsom, Calif; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Raymond Carl Head, who was killed while serving in the Navy; son, Raymond Head, Jr.; husband Norman Washburn; three sisters; and eight brothers. Graveside Service will be at 2 p.m. on Monday, January 3, 2011 at Terry County Cemetery in Brownfield. Arrangements are under the personal care of Combest Family Funeral Homes of Lubbock.
