Funeral services for Emma Jo Warren, 82, of Lubbock were held at 10 a.m.
Saturday, Sept. 13, at Brownfield Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Rev. Randy Land officiating. Interment followed in the Terry County Memorial Cemetery.

Jo Warren passed from this life on Thursday, Sept. 11, 2008. She was born on
Jan. 23, 1926, in Ralls to W.M. and Margaret Stinnett. She graduated from from Brownfield High School in 1944, where she met and married William Doyle "Duck" Warren. He preceded her in death in 2002.

In 1962, she moved with her husband and children to Tripoli, Libya, where she
lived for 10 years before moving to Jakarata, Indonesia for another 10 years,
where her husband worked for the oil companies. They retired in 1985 and settled in Wimberley. In 1998 they moved to Lubbock.

Jo was a member of Shadow Hill Baptist Church. She loved her church and Sunday school class and touched every life she came in contact with.

Jo Warren is also preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Guffy.

Those left to cherish her memory are three children, Darwin, Jo Ella and Roger
and their spouses; her three grandchildren, five great-granddaughters, one
special great-grandson and her sister-in-law, Doris Warren.

The family suggests memorials to Shadow Hill Baptist Church, 5911 4th St.;
Lubbock, TX 79411, or Meals on Wheels, 2304 34th St.; Lubbock, TX 79411. They would also like to express special thanks to Dr. Starnes and staff and everyone at the Dialysis Center.
