Obituary for Danny W/ Waddell

Memorial services for Danny Waymon Waddell, 56, of Meadow will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 22, at Live Oak Community Church in Lubbock with Rev. Chuch Williams officiating.

Mr. Waddell died Saturday, Feb. 16, 2008 at Manna Acres Assisted Living in Lubbock after a brief battle with cancer. He was born in Lubbock, on Oct. 25, 1951, to Archie L. Waddell and Evelyn Jenkins Waddell.

Mr. Waddell graduated from Brownfield High School in 1970 and attended Texas Tech University. He worked as a truck driver for over 10 years. For the past 20 years he was self-employed with Waddell Promotions, specialty advertising. He was married to Linda Ryan in 1989.

Mr. Waddell was preceded in death by his mother, wife--Linda, and one nephew--Luke Waddell.

He is survived by his father, brother--Mike Waddell of Mesa, Ariz.; one daughter--Amy Archinal of Lubbock; one son--Steven Waddell of Lubbock; two stepdaughters--Rita Kay Parks of Dyer, Ark., Joy Surratt of Weatherford, and one stepson Michael Pilkington of Tucson, Ariz.; one niece--Lori Dugan of Safford, Ariz. and seven grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials be sent to Hospice of Lubbock, 1102 Slide Rd, Suite 3, Lubbock, 79416, or Live Oak Community Church, 10710 S. Frankford, Lubbock, 79424.
