Services for Archie Lloyd Waddell, 86, of Andrews and formerly of
Brownfield will be at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, Dec. 30, at Brownfield
Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Rogers officiating. Burial will
be in Terry County Cemetery under the direction of Brownfield
Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at Brownfield Funeral Home. Archie passed away Friday, Dec. 25, 2009, in Andrews. He was born Aug. 18, 1923, and moved to the Gomez area in 1927. He married Evelyn Jenkins on Sept. 12, 1943. She preceded him in death in 1992. The couple had two sons. He served in the Airborne Infantry in WWII. He retired from Amoco Production after 31 years of service in 1984. He owned and operated Archie Waddell Advertising for 36 years. Archie married Bobby Lynn Orson of Andrews, on June 4, 1994. He was preceded in death by his son, Danny Waddell; a sister, Faye Banks and a brother, J.W. Waddell. Archie is survived by a his wife, Bobby Lynn Waddell; a son, Michael L. Waddell and his wife LuAnn of Mesa, AZ; five grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren; a sister, Winona Condra; a niece, a nephew, three step-children, Brent Riordon and wife Tannya of Hobbs, N.M., Tressa Warren and husband Preston of Andrews, TX and Truman Orson of Hannibal, MO.
