Charles C. Tyler, 93, of Meadow will be at 2 pm, Monday, Oct. 27, at
Brownfield Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Rev. Leslie Lewis
officiating. Burial will follow in Meadow Cemetery under the
direction of Brownfield Funeral Home. Charles passed away Friday, Oct. 24, 2008, in Lubbock. He was born Nov. 6, 1914, in Eden to A. R. and Ruth Ethel Tyler. He attended and graduated from O'Donnell High School. Charles married Louise Boyd, July 1, 1939, in Cottle County. They moved to Terry County in 1940 and farmed in the Meadow area for more than 45 years. He was a member of the Farmers Coop and Meadow First United Methodist Church. He is preceded in death by two sons, Keith and Jerry Tyler; two sisters and two brothers. Charles is survived by his wife Louise, of Meadow; a son, Mitchell Tyler of Meadow; two daughters-in-law, Sandra Tyler of Lubbock and Sue Tyler of Austin; two grandchildren, Stefanie Wornell and her husband Jason of Austin and Dane Burdine and his wife Teresa of Ransom Canyon; three great-grandchildren, Justin Wornell of Austin, Brittany and Chelsea Burdine of Ransom Canyon; a sister, Wanda Greenfield of Richardson; several nieces and nephews.
