Trout, 90, formerly of Tokio, were held Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2007, at
Brownfield Church of Christ with Bob Reynolds officiating.
Burial was in Terry County Memorial Cemetery under the direction of
Brownfield Funeral Home. Mrs. Trout passed away Saturday, Sept. 8, 2007, in Denton. She was born Oct. 7, 1916, in Burkett to Berry Dee and Annie Pauline Wesley and graduated from Burkett High School. She moved to Abilene and worked as a beauty operator for five years. Mrs. Trout married Clyde Trout, Dec. 1, 1940, in Burkett. He preceded her in death June 11, 1995. They lived in California and Dallas during World War II and returned to Tokio in 1944. They farmed and managed Trout Farm Supply near Tokio for 25 years. She also worked for the U.S. Postal Service as Postmaster while in Tokio for more than 10 years. Mrs. Trout was a member of Brownfield Church of Christ, Turner Home Demonstration Club and Terry County Heritage Museum. She is also preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers. Mrs. Trout is survived by two sons--Rodney of Denton and Reginald and his wife--Barbara of Southaven Miss; and one granddaughter--Auria East of Denton and by several nieces and nephews. The family suggests memorials to the Brownfield Church of Christ Building Fund. Brownfield News |
