Nicanor Torrez, Jr., 67, of Brownfield will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday,
December 6, 2011, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church with Father
Gerald Leatham officiating. Services will be under the direction of
Brownfield Funeral Home. Nick passed away Thursday, December 1, 2011, in a Lubbock hospital. He was born November 8, 1944, in Levelland to Nicanor and Rita Torrez. He married Elia DeLaCruz on December 2, 1969, in Brownfield. He was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Ortencia Garza and Bertha Riojas. Nick is survived by his wife Elia of Brownfield; sons, Jerry Luis Torrez and Nicanor Santos Torrez and wife Juliana; a daughter, Debra Torrez; grandsons Sergio Elias Torrez and Demetris Javier Cesar Torrez; a granddaughter, Alexia Renee Valdez; great-grandson, Zackeriah Leija; sisters, Rita Riojas and husband Geno, Santos Martinez and husband Seferino, Ninfa Martinez and husband Isidro, Oralia Coronado, Estella Torrez and Yolanda Torrez; and brothers, Alfredo Torrez and Christopher Torrez. |
