Obituary for Lucille Thompson

Services for Lucille Thompson, 89, of Brownfield were
held Thursday, Jan. 18 in Calvary Baptist Church with
Rev. Steve Carter officiating.   Burial was in Terry County
Memorial Cemetery.

Mrs. Thompson died Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2007, in Brownfield.
She was born Jan. 24, 1917, in Atlanta, Texas to William and
Donnie Roberts.    She married Truman Thompson on
Feb. 11, 1939, in Queen City, Texas. He died on March 27, 2002.

Mrs. Thompson graduated from Atlanta High School in 1937. She
and her husband moved to Brownfield in 1948.    Mrs. Thompson
graduated from LVN Nursing School in 1962. She was a member
of the Calvary Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by one son---J.T. Thompson in 1948 and
one daughter---Mary Lou May in 1984.    She is survived by one
son: Dale of Denver City.

She is also survived by two sisters---Adelle Rhyne of Atlanta, Texas
and Helen Walker of Bloomburg and one brother---Bill Roberts of
Longview; and by three grandchildren---Shawn Thompson, Stephanie
Salanis and Lynette Waldon and five great-grandchildren.
