Obituary for Loreta Thompson

Services for Loreta Marie Thompson, 77, of Brownfield were held Friday, March 2, in Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Carter and Rev. Jerry Payne officiating.   Burial was in Terry County Memorial Cemetery.

Mrs. Thompson died Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2007, in Brownfield.   She was born May 2, 1929, to Fred and Mattie Cornebise and was married to Jack Thompson on March 28, 1951, in Brownfield.

Mrs. Thompson graduated from Brownfield High School.   She had been employed by McGowan Abstract and Title Co., and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

Mrs. Thompson is survived by her husband; two sons---Jimmy and his wife---Anna of Artesia, N.M. and one daughter---Debra Duncan of College Station.

She is also survived by one brother---Alfred Cornebise of Greeley, Colo., six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
