| Services for
Thomas M. Talley, 84, of Brownfield were held at 2 p.m., Tuesday,
September 14, 2010, at Brownfield Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain
Elizabeth Holder officiating. Burial will be in Brownfield Cemetery
under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home. He was
in state from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at Brownfield Funeral Home.
Family visitation was from 5-7 p.m. Monday. Thomas passed away Friday, September 10, 2010, in Brownfield. He was born July 2, 1926 in Clyde, Texas, to Thomas C. and Lillie Dale Talley and came to Brownfield in 1940. He worked at the Seagraves Carbon Plant for 30 years. He married Margie Wilson on March 27, 1943. She preceded him in death in 1997. He then married Katie S. Scheftic-Daley. She preceded him in death in 2007. Thomas was a Mason, a WWII Army Veteran, a writer, HAM radio operator and multi-hobbiest. Thomas was also preceded in death by a daughter, Patsy Mae Talley in 1944 and a sister, Ona Myrle Payne. He is survived by two daughters, Toledo Mastrofrancesco of Brownfield and Shirley Flache of Brownfield; two sons, Ronnie Talley of Lubbock and Billy Talley of Lubbock; a son-in-law, Robert Flache of Brownfield; grandchildren, Tammy Forsburg of Lubbock, Kathy Puryear of Brownfield, Lena Stephenson of Wolfforth, Joe Mastrofrancesco of Bedford, MA and Jeffery Talley of Odessa; five brothers and sisters, Imogene Fennell, Charles Talley, Melvin Talley, Roy Talley and Thomas Dale Talley.
