Mary Alice Street, 87, of Brownfield will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday,
April 14, 2008, at the Brownfield Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with
Rev. Randy Land officiating. Internment will follow at 2:00 p.m. at
the Dickens Cemetery in Dickens, TX., under the direction of
Brownfield Funeral Home. Mary Alice Miller Street passed away on April 10, 2008, in Brownfield. Mary was born on July 30, 1920, in Kansas City, Kansas, to Joe and Irene Miller. She graduated from high school in Texoma. She married Charlie Street on November 13, 1938, in Dumas, TX. They moved to Brownfield from Lubbock in 1954. He preceded her in death on December 20, 1984. She worked as a bookkeeper at Collin's Department Store for many years, then later worked as the receptionist for Brownfield Regional Medical Center. Mary was a member of First Baptist Church. She is survived by 2 sons, Tommy Street and his companion Jo Smith of Brownfield and Jimmy Street and his wife Phyllis of Irving; 8 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
