Obituary for
Chris Straub

                                Chris Straub, 22, passed away on February 2, 2006, at University Medical Center
                                of Lubbock.   He was born January 26, 1984, in Lubbock to Bobby and Paulette
                                Straub.

                                He was a life long resident of Brownfield and attended Brownfield Schools, graduating
                                May, 2002.   While in school, Chris was a member of the Future Farmers of America
                                and enjoyed showing steers in stock shows.   He was also a member of the band where
                                he played trumpet.

                                Chris also enjoyed dirt bikes and racing.  He won his class at TNT Raceway in
                                Idalou, TX.   He also enjoyed wake boarding, water skiing, snow boarding, camping and
                                fishing.

                                Survivors include his parents, Bob and Paulette Straub, of Brownfield; one sister:
                                Melissa Straub Horner of Sherman; Paternal Grandparents, Jack and Evelyn Straub
                                of De Leon, and one nephew, Dillon Horner, of Sherman.   He was preceded in death
                                by his Maternal Grandparents, R. C. Quick and Doris Jean Thompson.

                                Services will be Sunday, February 5, 2006, at 3:00 P.M. at Mark A. Jones Memorial
                                Chapel of Brownfield with Tim A. McKenzie officiating.   Visitation will be Monday,
                                February 6, 2006, from 12:30 to 1:30 P.M., at Nowlin Funeral Home in De Leon.   
                                Graveside services will be at 2 PM at Garden of Memory Cemetery with Rev. Jackie
                                Auvenshine officiating.
