Services for Bonard G. Stice, 81, of Brownfield were held Saturday, Oct. 20, at Brownfield First United Methodist Church with Rev. Charles Addington officiating.   Burial was in Terry County Memorial Cemetery.

Mr. Stice died Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2007, at his home in Brownfield. He was born August 17, 1926, in the Johnson Community, Terry County, Texas to Bernie and Nellie Stice.

He graduated from Brownfield High School in 1943 and enlisted in the U.S. Navy, serving in WWII from 1944 to 1946.   He married Gladys Grawunder July 24, 1944, in Meadow and was a long time farmer in the Johnson Community.

Mr. Stice owned Johnson Gin and had been involved in oil and gas production. He had served on the Brownfield Hospital Board and served as President. He had also been a director of First National Bank of Brownfield and had served on the Terry County Appraisal District Board.    He was a member of the Brownfield First United Methodist Church and was a 32nd Degree Mason.

He is preceded in death by his parents--Bernie and Nellie Stice and Lee and Ethel Fulton and by one brother--Harold B. Stice.

He is survived by his wife--Gladys; one son--Harry; two daughters--Janice Auburg and her husband--David and Sandra Beyer, all of Brownfield and two grandchildren--Lance Auburg and his wife--Cenny of Henderson, Nev. and Angela Wood and her husband--Randy of Lubbock.

Mr. Stice is also survived by three great-grandchildren--Austin Auburg, Gracie Wood and Allie Wood.

Pallbearers were Bob Dumas, Dale George, Wayne Ratisseau, Frank Thompson, Rufus Franks and Mike Beasley.   Honorary pallbearers were Bobby Knight, Joe Foshee, Earl Jones, Wilburn Bailey, Odell Sears and Matt Adams.

The family suggests memorials to First United Methodist Church of Brownfield or to one's favorite charity.
