Celebration of
Life services for Lynn Stephens, 62, of Lubbock will be at 1pm,
Wednesday, April 27, 2011, at Calvary Baptist Church in Brownfield
with Rev. Jerry Payne and Rev. Jody O'Briant officiating. Burial
will be in Terry County Memorial Cemetery under the direction of
Brownfield Funeral Home.
The family will receive visitors from 6-8pm Tuesday at the funeral
home.
Lynn passed away April 23, 2011, in Lubbock. He was born March 11,
1949, in Childress to Walter C. and Roxie Arnn Stephens, Jr. He grew
up in Lubbock and attended Lubbock Schools.
In 1967, he
graduated from Coronado High School and married Vicki Faught on
March 13, 1993, in Brownfield. They owned and operated Cast Iron
Grill Catering. Lynn was employed at White Building Materials in
Lubbock. He liked cooking, fishing, spending time with family, ping
pong, riding motorcycles and Texas Tech Sports and was the self
appointed family Wahoo Champ. He was a member of West Texas Home
Builders and Immanuel Baptist Church in Brownfield.
Lynn is survived by his wife, Vicki, of Lubbock; 3 sons, Shelby
Stephens and wife Teresa of Lubbock, Shawn Stephens and fiance'
Rachel of Lubbock, Shane Stephens and wife Sophie of Coppell; 3
sisters, Delila White and husband Carl of Buchanan Dam, Debbie
Rothwell and husband Gary of Lubbock and Dinah Beyer of Lubbock; 11
grandchildren, Taylor and Branum Stephens, Sydney Sadler, Sabrina
Sadler, Travis Sadler, Scarlet Stephens, Allison Diaz, Jacob Diaz,
Hanna Diaz, Cade Pryor and Blake Pryor; a great grandson, Daniel
Diaz and nieces and nephews.
The family suggests memorials to Operation Hope, The Refuge or
Salvation Army.
