Services for Pauline
Stell, 73, of Brownfield were at 2 p.m. Monday at First
Presbyterian Church with the Rev. David Rhoades officiating.
Burial was in Terry County Memorial Cemetery under direction of
Brownfield Funeral Home.
She died Saturday at Methodist Hospital in Lubbock after a lengthy
illness. She was born in Fort Worth and moved to Seymore in
1913. She moved to Brownfield in 1927. She lived in Atlanta, Ga.,
and California before moving back to Brownfield in 1973. Mrs.
Stell was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include three daughters, Mary Lou Webb of Brownfield,
Laveta Norman of Post, and Kathryn Welcher of Seagraves; brother,
J.D. Herndon of Seagraves; six sisters, Corrine Henson of Clovis,
N.M. Prudence Jeffrey of Olton, Marie Jones of Austin, Laura
Osborn of Huntsville, Elaine Tatum of Baton Rouge, La., and
Vaudine Lilley of Hart; eight grandchildren; and seven
great-grandchildren.
