age 75, passed from this life on Tuesday August 30, 2011, in
Lubbock. Rosary for Mrs. Soto will be 6:30 P.M. Thursday September 1, 2011, at Mark A Jones Memorial Chapel. Services will be at 10:00 A.M. Friday, September 2, 2011, at St Anthony's Catholic Church in Brownfield with Father Leatham officiating. Burial will follow at Meadow Cemetery. Personal services have been entrusted to Mark A Jones Funeral Directors of Brownfield. Mrs. Soto was born July 19, 1936, to Antonio and Rosenda Garcia in Riviera, Texas. She married the love of her life Catarino Soto on November 17, 1956, in Kingsville, Texas. Her family will remember her for her embroidery and crochet work as well as for her cooking. She liked to fish and go dancing. She enjoyed watching the Texas Rangers play baseball. Those left to cherish her memories are her husband of 54 years, Catarino Soto, Sr of the home; 3 sons: Catarino Soto, Jr and wife Silvia and Rudy Soto and wife Gale all of Lubbock, and Robert Soto and wife Sharon of Bloomington, Indiana; 2 daughters: Gracie Cuellar and Janie Perez and husband Pete all of Meadow; and 1 Brother: Adolfo Garcia of Corpus Christi. She also leaves behind 12 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; 1 brother: Juan Garcia; 1 son: Isidro Soto; and 1 granddaughter: Megan. Brownfield News |
