| Services for John Everett Smith, 87, of
Brownfield were held Saturday, Dec. 23, in the Brownfield Church of
Christ with Bob Reynolds and Derek McNamara officiating.
Burial was in Loop Cemetery. Mr. Smith died Thursday, Dec. 21, 2006, in Brownfield. He was born June 2, 1919, in Arkansas and was married to Etta Day on Sept. 28, 1942, in Brownfield. Mr. Smith attended Sawyer Flatt Schools near Loop. He was a World War II U.S. Army veteran. He moved to Quemado in 1933 and to Loop in 1934. He was a member of the Brownfield Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister and two brothers. Mr. Smith is survived by his wife; and one daughter---Shelley Enloe and her husband---Marvin of Vernon. He is also survived by two grandchildren---Leah Flores of Brownfield and Landon Enloe of Vernon; one great-grandchild--Kaden Enloe of Vernon and two brothers---Owen of Seagraves and Ollie of Olton.
