Services for Lena Seaton, 84, of Brownfield were held
Wednesday, March 29,
in the Brownfield Church of Christ with Bob Reynolds officiating.
Burial was
in Terry County Memorial Cemetery.
Mrs. Seaton died Friday, March 24, 2006, in Lubbock. She was born
Sept 2,
1921, in Scurry County to the late Lawrence and Cora Campbell and was married
to B. D. "Bud" Seaton on Sept 23, 1939, in Dunn. She
attended school in
Hermleigh and Dunn. She and her husband moved to the Foster Community in
Terry County in 1940 where they farmed until their retirement. They
also farmed
in the Pool Community for 50 years. They were members of the
Brownfield Church
of Christ.
Mrs. Seaton is survived by her husband; two daughters: Lavone Gay Lewis and
Phyllis McCutcheon, both of Brownfield; four sons: Doyle Allen Seaton
of
Plains, Ronnie Dell Seaton of Brownfield, Burl Don Seaton of Peoria, Ariz., and
Steven Kent Seaton of Lenora, Kan; one sister: Myrtle May Hamblen of Amarillo;
one brother: Roy Campbell of Rowlett and 11 grandchildren and 10
great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one grandson, Burk Donald Seaton in 1971, and by
five brothers.
