Rosary for Maria Sanchez, 84, of Brownfield was held
Wednesday, Oct. 4, in Mark A. Jones Funeral Chapel.
Services were held Thursday, Oct. 5, in St. Anthony's
Catholic Church with Father Gerald Leatham officiating.
Burial was in Levelland Cemetery in Levelland.
She died Monday, Oct. 2, 2006 in Lubbock. She was born
Nov. 8, 1921 in Hondo to Guillermo and Bruna (Brenda)
Hernandez. She was married to Mauricio Sanchez in 1955.
He died in 1981.
Mrs. Sanchez lived in Terry County for 75 years. She is
survived by three sons---Joe, Tommy and Felipe, all of
Brownfield and one daughter---Margaret Jackson of
Arkoma, Okla.
She is also survived by two brothers---Juan and Lorenzo
Hernandez, both of Hondo and by eight grandchildren
and nine great-grandchildren.
