Maria Luz Salinas, 65, passed away Monday, Feb. 2, 2009, in Lubbock.  
Prayer services were held Wednesday, Feb. 4  and Thursday, Feb. 5 at Mark A. Jones Memorial Chapel in Brownfield.  Funeral Services were held on Friday, Feb. 6 at Templo Betel with Rev. Santos Gamez officiating and Pastor Heralinda Falcon assisting. Burial followed in Brownfield Cemetery.

Ms. Salinas was born Oct. 30, 1943, to Hilario Jr. and Maria Jimenez, in Meadow. She has lived in Brownfield her whole life.

Maria is survived by her father, Hilario Jimenez, Jr.; one son, Telesforo Salinas and his wife Alma of Brownfield; one daughter, Maggie Jimenez and her husband Benjamin of Gainesville, Ga.; two brothers: Hilario Jimenez III of Brownfield and Joe Jimenez of Worland Wyo.; and two sisters, Olga Argelles of Levelland and Rosario Bazan of Brownfield.  She also leaves behind four grandchildren, four step-grandchildren and 10 step-great-grandchildren.   She is preceded in death by her mother in 1974 and one son in 1972.

Personal services were provided by Mark A Jones Funeral Directors in Brownfield.
