Obituary for
Feliz Salas

Funeral services for Felix Salas, age 55, were held Wednesday,
October 25, 2006, at 2:00 P.M. in the St. Anthony's Catholic Church
in Brownfield. Father Gerald Leatham officiated. Burial followed
in Brownfield Cemetery. Services are under the direction of
Mark A. Jones Funeral Directors of Brownfield. A Rosary was
prayed Tuesday evening at Mark A. Jones Funeral Directors.
Mr. Salas was born on March 4, 1951 in Brownfield to Santos and
Isabel Salas. He attended school in Brownfield and has been a lifelong
resident. In 1974 he met and married the love of his life, Juanita
Rivas
in Brownfield. He was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church.
Survivors are his wife, Juanita, of the home; Four Sons: Felix Jr. of Amarillo,
James of Levelland, and Jeffery and Mark, both of Brownfield and five
Daughters: Kristi Garcia, Jackie Salas, Francis Rodriguez, Mary Saldana
and Joann Castro all of Brownfield.
He is also survived by seven Brothers: Eliseo, Ricky, and Valdomero all
of Brownfield, Santos and Roger both of Hereford, Sammy of Lamesa and
Alex of Washington. Nine Sisters: Juanita Benetiz, Stella Cordaway,
Laura Champian and Sonia Salas, all of Lubbock, Santos Mata and Ruby Borrego
and Janie Salas all of Brownfield, Mary Ann Salas of Amarillo and Sandra Salas
of Canyon. Mr. Salas also leaves 14 Grandchildren and one Great-Grandchild.
He was preceded in death by two daughters.
