Services for Billie Rowden, 84, of Brownfield will be held at 10am on Friday, June 22, 2012, at Brownfield Church of Christ with Steve Osborn and Bob Reynolds officiating. Burial will follow at Terry County Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home.

Billie passed away on June 20, 2012, in Brownfield. She was born on August 3, 1927, to John and Pearl Baker in Post. She attended Post schools. Billie married Monroe Rowden on May 4, 1953, in Amarillo. She was a member of Brownfield Church of Christ. Billie farmed side by side with Monroe until his death in 1985. She continued to farm and in 1995 was the first woman to receive Outstanding Conservation Farmer in Terry County. Billie served on numerous farm related boards. She brought joy to everyone she met and will be greatly missed.

Billie preceded in death by her husband, Monroe Rowden; parents, John and Pearl Baker and 2 sisters, Imogene Basinger and Pauline Mason.

She is survived by her daughters, Pam Currington of Brownfield, Jan Rowden of Brownfield and Mona Rowden of Bedford; a granddaughter, Joni Currington of Lubbock, a grandson, Hunter Currington of Brownfield and a sister, Kathryn Outlaw of Lubbock.
