Mary Rogers, 95, formerly of Brownfield, will be at 2 p.m.
Wednesday, March 23, 2011, at Brownfield Funeral Home Chapel with
Dr. David Wilson officiating. Burial will be in Terry County
Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home. Mary passed away Sunday, March 20, 2011, in Lubbock. She was born December 28, 1915, in Murray County, Okla., to Robert and Allie Wheat Huddleston. She attended Union schools. Mary married F.A. "Buck" Rogers on December 2, 1934, in Wingate, Texas. He preceded her in death on May 13, 1987. They moved to Pampa in 1941, Brownfield in 1945, San Angelo in 1963, Clovis, N.M. in 1967 and returned to Brownfield in 1984. She worked at Palace Drug in 1949, Fenton Shoes, Knights Hardware, Lindsey Hardware and C.R. Anthony's in 1961 before retiring in 1992. Mary is preceded in death by a daughter and a grandson. She is survived by her son, John R. Rogers and wife Kathy of Lubbock; her daughter, Beverly Jenkins and husband Gerald of Ennis; and by six grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Brownfield News |
