Obituary for L.O."Sonny" Rogers

Services for L.O. "Sonny" Rogers, 76, of Brownfield were held Wednesday, June 20, at Brownfield Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Rev. Jerry Payne officiating.   Interment was in Terry County Memorial Cemetery.

Mr. Rogers passed away Friday, June 15, 2007 in Farmington, N.M.   He was born March 9, 1931, in New Moore, Texas, to J. F. "Preacher" and Flora Mae Rogers. He attended school in O'Donnell.

Mr. Rogers married Wanda Belle Proctor, March 4, 1949, in Tahoka. She preceded him in death March 16, 2007. They moved to Brownfield in 1950.    He was a gin manager and farmer.

Mr. Rogers is survived by two daughters, Teddy Rogers Mooney of Austin and Terry Deeon Rogers of Lubbock, two sons, Rodney Rogers and his wife, Myra, of Farmington, N.M. and Randy Rogers of Lubbock.

He is also survived by his mother, Flora Mae Rogers, of Brownfield; two sisters, Frances Mae "Babe" Puryear of Brownfield and JoAnn Stewart of Lubbock; 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
