Rodriguez, 72, went to go be with the Lord on July 8, 2009, in Lubbock. Rosaries were held Saturday and Sunday, July 11-12 at Mark A. Jones Memorial Chapel in Brownfield. A funeral mass was held Monday, July 13, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Brownfield with Father Gerald Leatham officiating. Burial will followed at Terry County Memorial Cemetery. Personal services are under the direction of Mark A. Jones Funeral Service. Mrs. Rodriguez was born July 30, 1936, to Luis and Rosa Balderas in San Antonio. She married Antonio Rodriguez on Feb. 25, 1952, and later moved to Brownfield that year. Her husband preceded her in death on Oct. 23, 1999. Mary was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church. She is survived by two sons, Ronnie Rodriguez and wife Teresa of Lamesa and Ralph Rodriguez and companion Felicia Salas of Dallas; four daughters, Ofelia Mendez and husband Jessie of Meadow, Lisa Estrada and husband Steven of Brownfield, Stella Ramirez and companion Ricky Luera and Lori Trevino and husband Albert, both of Lubbock; seven brothers, Gilbert Balderas of Austin, Dan and Eddie Balderas, both of Round Rock, Lawrence Balderas of Pflugerville, Ruben, Louis and David Balderas, all of Hutto; five sisters, Alexandra Garcia of San Angelo, Louisa Narranjo and Eloisa Trejo, both of San Antonio, Marcy Martinez of Colorado City and Gloria Martinez and Olga Chapa, both of Hutto; and one life long friend Benito Rivera, Jr. of Brownfield. She also leaves behind 13 grandchildren and 27 Great-Grandchildren. Mary is preceded in death by her parents: Luis and Rosa Balderas; one son, Antonio Rodriguez, Jr.; two brothers: Andres and Edward Balderas and three sisters, Ernestina Perez, Consuelo Valdez and Charlotte Balderas.
