63, of Brownfield died March 27, 2008. Services will be at 2 p.m.
Monday, March 31, at Templo Betel Church with Rev. Santos Gamez
officiating. Internment will follow at the Brownfield Cemetery under
the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home. Maria was born on May 14, 1944, in Rosenberg, Texas to Benito and Dolores Rivera. She moved with her family to Brownfield in 1956 and married Pedro Rodriguez in 1975 in Brownfield. She worked as a caregiver for the elderly in home health for many years. Maria was a member of Templo Betel Church. She is survived by her husband, Pedro Rodriguez of Brownfield; her daughter, Ignacia Mendez of Brownfield, five grandchildren; two great grandchildren; two brothers, Benito Rivera, Jr. of Brownfield and Pablo Garza of Richmond, TX; and two sisters, Celia Valdez of Brownfield and Carol Moreno of Brownfield. She is preceded in death by a son, Victor Garcia; two daughters, Dolores Galindo and Maria Victoria Garcia; and two brothers, Jessie Rivera and Guillermo Rivera. Brownfield News |
