Yvonne Rex, 66, of Brownfield were held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, July
1, at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Carter officiating.
Burial was in Terry County Memorial Cemetery under the direction of
Brownfield Funeral Home. Yvonne passed away Sunday, June 28, 2009, in Lubbock. She was born January 26, 1943, in Brownfield to Kyle and Pauline Adams. She was a graduate of Wellman High School and received her Bachelor of Science in Education degree from Texas Tech University in 1973. She married Jimmy Rex on May 26, 1961, in Brownfield. He preceded her in death November 22, 1992. Yvonne taught school at Wellman Junior High for five years. She was a member of Wellman Baptist Church. She is survived by her sons, James Rex and wife Donna of Wellman and Jack Rex and wife Twilla of Slaton; two brothers, Bill Adams and wife Linda of Lubbock and John Adams and wife Valorie of Katy; a sister, R. B. Pruitt and husband Tommy of Brownfield; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials to the National M.S.
