Lawrence Vain Renfro

Services for Lawrence Vain Renfro, 86, of Brownfield were held Tuesday, Nov. 28,
in the Brownfield Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Rev. Ken Horn officiating.
Burial was in Meadow Cemetery.
Mr. Renfro died Saturday, Nov. 25, 2006 in Lubbock. He was born Jan. 1,
1920,
in Jackson County, Okla. to Cam Ottis and Eula Renfro and was married to Johnnie
Hemme on March 14, 1940, in Meadow. She died on Jan. 1, 1983.
Mr. Renfro moved with his family to Meadow in 1926 where he was raised and
attended school. He was employed as a mechanic for Jack Bailey
Chevrolet. He
and his brother, J.T. Renfro, owned and operated Brownfield Radiator for several
years.
Mr. Renfro also was employed by Jim Reed Phillips 66 more than 20 years. He was
a
member of the Brownfield First Christian Church.
He is survived by three daughters---Shirley Nickens of Stirling, Va. and Marilyn
Oliver and
her husband---Kenneth and Linda McMinn, all of Lubbock.
Mr. Renfro is also survived by one sister---Ottis Wheeler of Lorenzo and by six
grandchildren,
six great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by one brother---J.T. Renfro in 1999 and by his twin
sisters---Mell
Holder in 1971 and Zell Himmeline in 2001.
