David Lee Renfro, 84, of Brownfield will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday,
March 26, at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Carter
officiating. Burial will be in Terry County Memorial Cemetery under
the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home. David went to be with the Lord Sunday, March 23, 2008, in Brownfield. He was born Oct. 20, 1923, in Athens, Texas to W. N. and Nora Renfro. He moved to Tahoka in the early 1940's where he farmed and operated Westside Grocery Store. He married Dorothy Khal in 1944. She passed away in 1959. He moved to Terry County in 1961. David married Billie Jean Farrar Caddell on Oct. 20, 1965, in Terry County. They had 42 years of a happy marriage. David worked for the Brownfield Police Department and Terry County Sheriff's Department until 1981. He also worked for Brownfield Funeral Home and as a crossing guard for Brownfield Schools. He was a member of the Kiwanis Club and a member of Calvary Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by one son--Roger Lee Renfro, three brothers and two sisters. David is survived by his wife Billie Jean Renfro of Brownfield; a stepson, Denny Caddell and his wife Susan of Zion, IL; four grandchildren, five great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to Calvary Baptist Church Building Fund of Brownfield or Brownfield Senior Citizens Center, P.O. Box 1021, Brownfield, TX. 79316. Brownfield News |
