Obituary for Joe Ramos

Joe Ramos, age 63 passed away Monday, March 31, 2008, in Lubbock. Rosaries were prayed Tuesday and Wednesday at Mark A. Jones Memorial Chapel in Brownfield. A Funeral Mass was held Thursday at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Brownfield with Father Gerald Leatham officiating. Burial followed at Brownfield Cemetery.

Mr. Ramos was born November 10, 1944, to Juan and Isabel Reyes in Karnes County, Texas. He attended school in Runge, Texas, and moved to Terry County in 1961. In 1981 he went to work as a truck driver for Plains All American in Levelland and worked for them for 28 years.

Joe's favorite hobby was watching Donnie play softball and watching Josh play his sports. His greatest pride was found in his daughter and grandchildren.

Those left to cherish his memory is one daughter, Jane Gonzales and her husband Domingo of Brownfield; one grandson, Joshua Gonzales of Brownfield; one brother, Frank Ramos of Corpus Christi and one sister, Janie Hernandez of Beeville. He was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Pamela in 1999 and one brother, Temo Reyes.
