for Lecie Elizabeth Pippin Rhoades , 87, will be at 9 a.m. Thursday
at Taylor Street Church of Christ with Dee A. Cochran officiating.
Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday at Chapel of Hope Funeral Home. A viewing will be held from 2-3 p.m. Thursday at Brownfield Funeral Home with a 4 p.m. Burial at Terry County Memorial Cemetary. Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel of Hope Funeral Home. Mrs. Rhoades died November 28, 2009, at Lea Regional Hospital in Hobbs, N.M. She was born July 11, 1922, in Gause and raised in Union. She married Elmore "Dusty" Rhoades June 29, 2001, in Hobbs. She was a member of Taylor Street Church of Christ. Lecie is survived by her husband, Elmore, of Hobbs; four sons, Alfred Pippin and his wife Bea of Tokio, Sidney Pippin and wife Dian of Denver City, Mike Pippin and wife Marie of Goldsmith and Billy Rhoades of Santa Fe, N.M.; three daughters, Sherri Hatfield and husband Chris Embrey of Granbury, Mary Pearson and husband Mike of Hobbs, N.M., and Sandy Uhl and husband Gene of Alburquerque, N.M.; one daughter-in-law, Sandra Pippin of Lubbock; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Ormal Pippin in 1989; her parents, Sidney and Della Beck, seven brothers and two sisters; one son, Johnny Pippin; and a grandson, Sid Tom Pippin.
