Minerva DeAnda Perez, 84, passed from this life on Tuesday, March 27, 2012 in Brownfield.   Services for Ms. Perez were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 31, 2012, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Brownfield with Celebrant Father Gerald Leatham officiating.
 
Ms. Perez was born May 18, 1927, to Candido and Maria DeAnda in Alfred. She married the love of her life, Felix Perez Sr., on February 12, 1945, in Mathis. He preceded her in death on September 6, 1990.
 
Ms. Perez loved to quilt and was a seamstress. She enjoyed gardening and decorating. She loved coffee and to dance and to joke. She was very well respected and was deep in her religion. She was a good mom. She loved her novellas. She was loved by everyone, and they called her "Ama."
 
Those left to cherish her memories are one son, Redolfo D. Perez and wife Mario of Brownfield; three daughters: Janie Villarreal of Brownfield, Cyndi Perez of Lubbock and Dora Lisa Hernandez and husband ken of Hondo; one brother, Raul DeAnda of Alice; three sisters, Elida Moreno and Clara DeAnda, both of Bakersfield, Calif., and Enedina D. Bernal of Orange Grove.
 
Also left behind are 34 grandchildren, 75 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
 
She is preceded in death by her parents; one daughter: Maria Elda Ritz; three sons, Pedro Perez, Felix Perez Jr. and Ricardo Perez; three brothers and one great-grandson.
