Mariana H. Ontiveros

Mariana H. Ontiveros, 49, of Brownfield, passed away Saturday
December 17, 2005, at Covenant Medical Center, Lakeside, in Lubbock
Mariana was born March 21, 1956, to Esteban and Angelita Hernandez in
Leming, Texas. She attended school in Leming and Seagraves and moved
to Brownfield in 1980. For many years Mariana sat with individuals
who
were not able to take care of themselves. Her family remembers her
most
for the love and enjoyment she got from her grandchildren. She met
and
married the love of her life, Jesus Ontiveros, on October 4, 1972
A Rosary service will be at 7:00 P.M. Monday and Tuesday evenings at
Mark A. Jones Memorial Chapel in Brownfield. A Funeral Mass will be
at
10:00 A.M. Wednesday, December 21, 2005, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church
with Father Gerald Leatham officiating. Interment will follow at
Brownfield
Cemetery.
Those left to cherish her memories include her husband, Jesus, of the home;
1 son: Jesse Ontiveros III, of Lubbock; 1 daughter: Laura Bergara of Brown-
field; 2 brothers: Felipe G. Hernandez of Union and Esteban Hernandez, Jr., of
Pleasanton; 5 sisters: Estefana H. Aguilar and Maria H. Brionez both of
Seagraves;
Olivia H. Huron of Pleasanton; Carolina Patterson of Arlington; and Rosalinda H.
Munoz of Lubbock. She also leaves 6 grandchildren. Her
parents and 3 brothers:
Ricardo, Juan and Tomas, preceded her in death.
Personal Services are being provided by Mark A. Jones Funeral Directors of
Brownfield.
