Billie Norman, 86, of Brownfield were held Monday, Aug 17, at
Brownfield Church of Christ with Bob Reynolds officiating. Burial
was in Terry County Memorial Cemetery under the direction of
Brownfield Funeral Home. Billie passed away Friday, Aug 14, 2009, in Brownfield. She was born Jan 27, 1923, in Anson to Pascal and Ima Jay Ball. She graduated from Anson High School in 1940 and married Henry Louis Norman on April 27, 1942, in Abilene. She worked for the Lamesa Daily Reporter before moving to Brownfield in 1963. In 1970 Billie and Henry bought the Country Press newspaper where they worked until retiring in 1983. She helped deliver Meals on Wheels. She loved her family, being outside, walking with Henry, traveling and the many friends she had. She was a member of Brownfield Church of Christ. Billie is preceded in death by her parents, a brother Kenneth Ball, two granddaughters, Kathy Lynn Baylor and Tammy Louise Baylor. Billie is survived by her husband, Henry Norman of Brownfield; two daughters, Linda Kay Baylor of Bastrop and Vickie Lou Guyer and husband Loren of Drumright, Okla.; two grandsons, David Matthew Yeager of Broken Arrow, Okla. and Terry Michael Yeager of Drumright, Okla.; three great grandsons, Mason Storm Yeager of Drumright, Okla., Kenneth Hall of Chilton and Jordan David Yeager of Broken Arrow, Okla.; two great granddaughters, Jessica Baylor and Lee Ann Hall both of Bastrop; two brothers, Gerald Ball and wife Carolyn of Euless and Jack Ball and wife Eula Faye of Clyde; two brother-in-laws, Caroll Norman & wife Dorothy of Yukon, Okla., and Roy Lee Norman and wife Marilyn of Escondido, Calif.; a sister-in-law, Algerene Duncan of Brownwood.
