Newberry died Dec. 28, 2008, at the Hospice House in Odessa, finally
losing her battle with Glioblastoma, after amazing the medical
community with a seven year fight. Diana was born June 18, 1964, in Brownfield, to Tom and Judy Gorby, and graduated from Brownfield High School. She married Robby Newberry on Oct. 18, 1986. They had two daughters, Brandi Nicole, age 13, and Brittany Ann, age nine. They have resided in Monahans, for the past 22 years, except for a short period of time when they lived in Midland. She was formerly employed by First National Bank, of Monahans, and Jack Sherman Chevrolet, in Odessa. She has been a full time wife and mother since the birth of her first child. She loved her family, friends, being a homemaker, movies, cards and board games. She is survived by her husband, two daughters, parents, and a sister, Pamela Young, of Greenwood Midland. Services were held Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2008, at First Baptist Church in Monahans. Graveside services were held at 3 p.m. that day at Brownfield Cemetery. Donations may be made to Hospice, The American Cancer Association, or the charity of your choice.
