| Clay Neill, 56,
of Brownfield passed away Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2009, in Lubbock.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 19, at the
Terry County Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Brownfield
Funeral Home. Memorial Services will follow at 1:30 p.m. at First
Baptist Church with Rev. Randy Land officiating. Clay was born on Oct. 5, 1952, to Almos and Geneva Neill in Lamesa. He moved with his family to Brownfield in 1959 and attended schools in Union and Brownfield, graduating from Brownfield High School in 1971. He married Cynthia Sue Williams on March 8, 1974, in Meadow. He worked as a farmer for 35 years in Terry County. Clay was a member of the Wellman Volunteer Fire Department where he served as chief. He also served on the Brownfield Farmer's Co-Op and Loop Co-op Gin Boards, and the Wellman school board. Clay is survived by his wife, Cynthia Neill of Brownfield; his mother, Geneva Neill of Brownfield; three sons, Clint Neill and his wife Rhonda of Brownfield, Gabe Neill and his wife Kristen of Brownfield and Cliff Neill of Brownfield; two grandchildren; three brothers, Keith Neill and his wife Leslie of Brownfield, Eddie Neill and his wife Regina of Brownfield and Brad Neill and his wife Linda of Abilene, and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will have visitation from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 18 at the Brownfield Funeral Home. Brownfield News |
