Leonardo Morin, Sr., 79, of Brownfield were held Friday, March 2, in
the Shady Oaks Church of God with Rev. Lee Gamez, Jr. and Brother
Abel Longoria officiating. Burial was in Brownfield
Cemetery. Mr. Morin died Monday, Feb. 26, 2007, in Lubbock. He was born April 8, 1927, in Helena, Texas, to Trinidad and Felipa Morin and moved with his parents to Brownfield in the early 1940's. He was married to Lucia Cabrera on June 18, 1948, in Brownfield. She died on Feb. 2, 2004. He retired in 1992. Mr. Morin was preceded in death by his parents---Trinidad and Felipa Morin; his father and mother-in-law---Mencho and Agapita Cabrera; his granddaughters---Nicole Morin and Angel Embil; his brothers---Esfrian, Trinidad and Melcares and one sister---Maria Morin. He is survived by 11 children---Esmeralda and her husband Richard Bergara and Cindy Diaz, all of Brownfield and Lee Morin, Jr., Diana and John Martinez, Leandro and his wife Cindy; Betty Morin and Joe Perez, Lisa Salas, Shawn Embil, Patricia and Jeff Barber, Jessie Morin and David Morin, all of Holland, Mi. Mr. Morin is also survived by 24 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren; two brothers---Lupe and his wife---Delfina and Fredrico and his wife---Maria all of Brownfield; one sister---Margaret Molina of Brownfield and one sister-in-law---Maria Morin of Holland, Mi.
