Moreno Sr., 65, passed away September 14, 2010. A
rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 16, at St. Anthony's
Catholic Church in Brownfield. Internment followed in the Brownfield
Cemetery. Adan was born March 30, 1945, in Odem, Texas to Manuel and Santos Moreno. He served in the United States Army and was a Vietnam veteran, a lifetime member of the Mathis American Legion Post 633, the VFW and Disabled American Veterans. He also served as a Mathis City Councilman. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Santos Melissa Moreno Solis, two brothers and three sisters. He is survived is by his wife Martha E. Moreno; three sons, Carlos Felan of Karnes City, Adan E. Moreno Jr. of Mathis and Rodolfo E. Moreno of Ode; six sisters, Aurora Moreno of Kenewick, Wash., Minga Enciscio of McKinney, Maria Velia Carnacho of Sherman, Adelfa Windeski and Vanie Moreno of Milwaukee, Wis., and Maria Moreno of El Paso; six brothers, Manuel Moreno Jr. of Moses Lake, Wash., Juan Manuel Moreno of Arizona, Adolfo Moreno of Moreno of Moses Lake, Wash., David Moreno of Oceanside, Calif., Ernesto Rodriguez of Ft. Worth, and Juan Rodriguez of Mathis; 20 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
