Estelle Miller, 87, of Brownfield passed away on Wednesday, October 28, 2009, at her home. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 31, at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Stan McNiel and Rev. Clarence Branch officiating.

Estelle was born on July 4, 1922, in Haskell County to Clyde and Bertha McNiel. She moved to Brownfield with her family in the 1930s.  On January 18, 1944, in Lovington, N.M., Estelle married William Oliver Miller.    He preceded her in death May 6, 2002.   She was also preceded in death by her son, Damon Miller.

Estelle was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Marietta Sooter and her husband Phil, of Lubbock; her grandson, Shawn Sooter of Lubbock; her granddaughter, Kim Chitwood and her husband Jim, of Henderson, Nev.; two step-granddaughters, Brigette Taylor and her husband David of Lubbock and Shockey Nail and her husband Ronnie of Blackwell; six great grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild and her brother, R.R. "Pete" McNiel.

The family suggests memorials to the Calvary Baptist Church Building Fund or VistaCare Hospice.
