94, of Brownfield died Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2007, in Plainview.
Services were held Saturday, Feb. 10th in the Brownfield Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Douglas Shelly officiating. Burial was in the Brownfield Cemetery. She was born Aug. 13, 1912, in Windom to James and Nannie Boles and was married to S. A. Metcalf in 1931 in Honeygrove. They moved to Brownfield in 1947. Mr. Metcalf died on May 4, 1970. Mrs. Metcalf was employed by the Brownfield School District for 10 years and also by the Coop Cafe for four years prior to her retirement in 1969. She was preceded in death by one son---Billy Metcalf in 1990. Mrs. Metcalf is survived by five sons---Jerry of Brownfield, Larry of Lewisville, Gary of Lubbock, Dale of San Clemente, Calif. and Elbert of Calera, Okla. She is also survived by three brothers---Ray Boles of Duncanville, James N. Boles of San Antonio and J.L. Boles of Greenville; one sister---Ruth Watson of Sherman and by 20 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
