| Our little
angel, that we all love and cherish so dearly, was called back into
our Lord's arms. Callissa Victoria Mendez was born November 12, 2009, to Michael Mendez and Cayla Jenkins. She left her Earthly home May 13, 2010. She lived such a short life, but filled our hearts with great joy and happiness. She is survived by her parents; one brother, Malikai D'Shawn Mendez; two sisters, Mariah Alizah and Jordan Nichole Mendez, all of the home; paternal grandparents, Thomas and Victoria Rodriguez of Levelland; maternal grandparents Tim and Mitzi Jenkins of Brownfield; and paternal great-grandmother, Alicia Mendez of Ropesville; maternal great grandmother Virgie Jenkins of Brownfield, great grandparents Dewayne and Ruth Dixon of Littlefield and Shirley Mack of Lubbock; several aunts, uncles, and cousins. A rosary was held Friday night at the Head and Duarte Funeral Home in Levelland. Funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 15, 2009, at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Levelland followed by burial in Terry County Memorial Cemetery. Brownfield News |
