Melvin L. Young

                        Graveside services for Melvin L. Young, 94, of Brownfield, were held at 10:00 a.m.
                        Thursday, Nov. 3, 2005, in Resthaven Cemetery in Lubbock with Rev. Brad Reeves
                        of Clovis, NM., officiating.   Mr. Young died Monday, Oct 31, in Brownfield Regional
                        Medical Center.

                         He was born July 12, 1911, in Dunn, Texas, and was married to Ida C. Teague in
                         Lubbock.   She died in 1985.   Mr. Young was also preceded in death by two sons:
                         Lee Young and Hugh Young, three sisters and one brother.    He lived in Muleshoe
                         from 1997 until 1999.   He moved from New Orleans, LA., to Brownfield in 2004.  He
                         was shipping and receiving agent for Foxworth-Galbraith Lumber Co. for a number
                         of years, and was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Muleshoe.

                         Mr. Young is survived by one daughter, Linda Jackson, of Picayune, Miss; one 
                         daughter-in-law, Pat Young, of Muleshoe, and by four grandchildren and eight
                         great grandchildren.    Memorials may be made to the Muleshoe First United
                         Methodist Church, Box 505, Muleshoe, TX 79347.
