Graveside services for Charles McDonald, 89, of Brownfield will be at 2pm, Monday, March 5, 2012, at Brownfield Cemetery with Rev. Steve Carter officiating. Burial will be under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home.

Charles will be in state at the funeral home from 12-8pm Sunday.  He passed away Friday, March 2, 2012, in Brownfield and was born on July 11, 1922, to Joseph Jennings McDonald and Myrtle Gillette in Shallowater. Charles served in the Navy and was a World War II Veteran. He married Mildred Dixon on May 31, 1947, in Lubbock. They moved to Brownfield from Smyer in 1958 and he worked for Goodpasture, Inc. for 34 years until retiring.

Charles is preceded in death by his wife, Mildred McDonald, and his son-in-law, Curtis Pruiett.   He is survived by his daughter, Jean Pruiett of Brownfield; 3 grandsons, Kevin Pruiett, Tommy Pruiett, Joey Pruiett and Tesla Bynum; 5 great grandchildren, DeeJay Pruiett, Aron Pruiett, Ariel Pruiett, Austin Pruiett, Zachary Pruiett and Gage Pruiett.
