Carroll Mason, formerly of Brownfield will be at 2pm, Saturday,
August 6, 2011, at Brownfield Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Rev.
Truman Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Terry County Memorial
Cemetery under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home. Roy passed away Thursday, August 4, 2011, in Lubbock. He was born March 16, 1938, in Brownfield to Jack Orien and Christine Ovella (Motley) Mason. He graduated from Brownfield High School. Roy married Mennie Stubblefield on December 5, 1989 in Lubbock, TX. He worked and retired with The Texas Department of Transportation and was a member of the Church of Christ & the Evening Lions Club. Roy is preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Theresa Mason. He is survived by his wife Mennie of Lubbock; a grand daughter, Misty Funderbuck of Kosse; a great grandson, Chance Funderbuck of Kosse; a brother-in-law, Norman Ledbetter and wife Rhonda of Tahoka; and a step daughter-in-law, Faye Stubblefield of Groesbeck. Special thanks goes to Bacon Heights Baptist Church, Nurses at Tanglewood Village and Accolade Home Health Nurses. The family suggests memorials to Lubbock State School Parents Association.
