Bonnie Martin, age 69, passed from this life on December 4, 2011, in Lubbock..

Visitation for Ms. Martin is 9:00 A.M. - 8:00 P.M. Wednesday, December 7, 2011, with family visitation 5:30 P.M. - 7:30 P.M. Services will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday, December 8, 2011, at Calvary Baptist Church in Brownfield with Pastor Steve Carter officiating. Burial will follow at Brownfield Cemetery.

Ms. Martin was born on January 5, 1942, to Arthur and Vivan Giddens in El Reno, Oklahoma. She married the love of her life, Jay C Martin, on June 27, 1958, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on October 4, 2001. She is also preceded in death by her parents.

Ms. Martin liked to garden, collect bells and loved to cook, bake and sew. She listened to country music and danced. She enjoyed playing games and loved John Wayne and Elvis movies. Her family will remember that she loved to read the Bible, and loved animals. She enjoyed being outdoors. She was a great mother and grandmother and took pride in her home.

Those left to cherish her memories are 3 daughters: Cecily Sebesta and husband Dennis of Caldwell, Texas, Jeannie Greenfield and husband Bill of Beaver, Oklahoma, and Deana Bridgers and husband Jimmy of Brownfield, Texas; 5 Brothers: Leroy Giddens of Moore, Oklahoma, Jack Giddens of Ramona, California, Charlie Giddens of Edmond, Oklahoma, Lawrence Giddens of Macomb, Oklahoma, and Alan Giddens of Shawnee, Oklahoma; 1 sister-in-law Melody Davis of Amarillo.

She also leaves behind 5 grandchildren.
