| Bertha Marsh,
96, of Brownfield, passed away on Monday, November 9, 2009, at her
home. Service will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 12, 2009, at
Bethel Baptist Church with Rev. Charles Day officiating. Interment
will follow in Terry County Memorial Cemetery under the direction of
Brownfield Funeral Home. Bertha was born on April 4, 1913, in Del Kalb to Willie Wesley and Sarah Francis Day. She married Willie Richard Marsh "Bill" on Oct. 3, 1930, in Ovalo. They moved to Brownfield in 1942. He preceded her in death on Jan. 3, 1997. She was also preceded in death by her parents; eight brothers, Leo, Horace, Mutt, Pete, Henry, William, Billy Jack and Wayne Day; and four sisters, Dorothy, Dovie, Doris and Oceal. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. Bertha is survived by two daughters, Betty Jo Hungerford and Shirley Riddlehuber of Brownfield; five grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren; seven great great grandchildren and 2 sisters, Ruby Groves of Brownfield and Wanda Lenderman of Tatum, NM.
