Warren Lidzy, 85, of Brownfield will be at 10 a.m. Friday, October
28, 2011, at Brownfield Church of Christ with Bob Reynolds
officiating. Burial will follow in Terry County Memorial Cemetery
under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home. Lee passed away Sunday, October 23, 2011, in Lubbock. He was born September 17, 1926, to Arthur Lidzy and Ethel Akers Lidzy in Mountainair, N.M. He attended Eastern New Mexico College and then transferred to Texas Technological College in 1946, where he worked on his degree in Electrical Engineering. Lee married Dollie Peugh on August 2, 1947, in Lubbock. They were members of the Presbyterian Church in Brownfield for more than 50 years. He owned and operated Lid-Zee Printing Co. in Brownfield for 55 years and was a Boy Scout Leader and a member of the Rotary Club for many years. Lee is preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Hazel Steele, Rosemary Hutchinson and Eva Mae Hammons; and a brother, Webb Lidzy. He is survived by his wife, Dollie Lidzy of Brownfield; a son, Averett Lidzy and wife Mary of Lubbock; two daughters, Becky Wood of Lubbock, Jan Cornett and husband Craig of Brownfield; three sisters, Alice Bryant of McMinnville,Ore., Esther Cox of Stafford, Ala., Erlene Poole of Bellingham, Wash.; five grandchildren, Natasha Campbell and husband, Paul, Paloma Lidzy, Evan Cornett and wife Leslie, Nathan Wood, Paul Lidzy; six great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Dean Lidzy Holt; two nieces, Brenda Lambeth, Glenda Abney; and three nephews, Ray Lidzy, Bud Lidzy and Rusty Lidzy.
