Services for Nina Lewis, 75, of Brownfield, were at 10:30 a.m. Thursday,
January 25, 1990, in Brownfield Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with
Bob Reynolds, minister, of Brownfield Church of Christ, officiating.
Burial was in Terry County Memorial Cemetery under the direction of
Brownfield Funeral Home. She was found dead in her residence Tuesday
morning.
Mrs. Lewis was born in Hamilton County on September 21, 1914, and moved to
Scurry County as a child. She moved to Brownfield in
1958. She married
Walter Carl Lewis January 1, 1956, in Clovis, NM, who died February
6,
1971. She was a member of Church of Christ.
Survivors include two daughters: Carla Lewis and Bobbie Maples, both of
Lubbock; a son Luther Gene Edmonson of Austin; 5 Sisters: Vida Hudnell of
Amarillo, Margie Davis and Ruby Dyer, both of Fort Worth, Jackie Lewis of
Lake Whitney and Juanita Torres of Albuquerque, NM; 4 brothers: Olin and
Ewell Davis, both of Lake Whitney and Quitman and John Davis, both of Utah,
9 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
