Services for Katherine M. Lassiter, 76, of Brownfield were held
Saturday, Sep. 23, in the First Baptist Church Chapel with Rev. Britt Atkins
officiating. Burial was in Terry County Memorial Cemetery.
Mrs. Lassiter died Thursday, Sept. 21, 2006 in Lubbock. She was
born June 25, 1930 in Corinth, Miss. and was married to
Leon Charles Lassiter on Sept. 12, 1948 in Corinth, Miss.
He died on Dec. 9, 1994.
They moved to Brownfield in 1951. She was owner and operator
of The House of Beauty in Brownfield for 49 years prior to her
retirement in 2002. She was a member of the Brownfield First
Baptist Church.
She is survived by one son: Charles Michael Lassiter and
his wife, Dawn, of Lubbock and by several nieces and nephews.
