services for Billy Gene Langford, 83, of Brownfield were held at 2
p.m. Tuesday, October 5, 2010, at Terry County Memorial Cemetery
with Don McWhorter officiating. Burial was under the direction of
Brownfield Funeral Home. Billy went home to see his Lord on Saturday, October 2, 2010, in Amarillo. He was born June 1, 1927, in Brownfield to Jim L. and Ethel Wooley Langford and was raised in Terry County. He graduated from Brownfield High School and then attended Texas A & M University. He served in the U.S. Army and owned a service station in Brownfield, which he operated until 1949. He was involved in family farming until he moved to Amarillo in 2004. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Ray, L.V. and Dee Langford; and a sister, Sue Gray.
